The most
wonderful areas of Southern Norway is the destination of this
tour idea. Whether you fly in to Scandinavia or you do this
trip as an extension of a Central Europe tour - the Terra
Lu bus with the nice guide and the freindly driver will show
you beautiful waterfalls, mountains, and stave churches.
Coming from central Europe the route follows the swedish coast
via Oslo to the norwegian center of winter sports Geilo. From
your nice vacation resort you will explore the countryside
on day excursions. You will drive through Sulndal valley with
its old farms, pass Lake Strandavatn, get through dozends
of scarry dark tunnels, and may take an afternoon for a hike
in the high plains of Hardangervidda.

The
Flam train takes you into the mountains: within 12.5 miles it
takes an elevation of 2,850 ft! Following the train ride a boat
takes you through Aurlands- und Naeroyfjord between vertical
rocks, snow covered peaks, and soughing waterfalls. |
A highlight
of Hardangervidda is Vöringfoss waterfall, which plunges
600 ft into a imposing gorge. Passing Eidfjordvatnet lake
which is surrounded by steep rocks the road continousto Hardangerfjord,
the 2nd longest Fjord of Norway. The way back to additional
tours in Europe or to the Airport leads to Gol with the artfully
with wood carvings decorated stave church. Explore Oslo on
a guided tour before your group embarks the ship to Denmark
or Germany.
